Scope and Content

This volume contains the collected poetry of Nef'i (died 1044 AH/1634-35 CE, although Haj. Khal. places his death a year later in 1045 AH/1635-36 CE). The given name of the poet was Ömer. The Divan is divided into two portions :. ff 1v-121r : Kasideler, beginning with a na't. From f 116r onwards there are some kıt'alar with a chronogram entitled Tarih-i kah-i Sultan Murad-i Gazi (ff 116v-117r);. ff 122v-153r : Gazeller, ending with rubaiyat (ff 153r-154v). The manuscript was probably copied in the first half of the 19th century CE. The date 771 on f 154v is most likely a 1271 AH (1854-55 CE) written incorrectly.
