Scope and Content

This section of the volume Or 13407 contains the following two Ottoman Turkish texts:. (I) ff 74v-76r : Suretü'l-fetva, a collection of fetava by İbn-i Kemalpaşazade on legal points relating to Sufism and the practice of zikr;. (II) ff 76r-80r : Risale-yi İbrahim Efendi der man' kerden-i zikr-i cehri, a tract by İbrahim Efendi declaring the practice of zikr aloud in groups to be blameworthy (makruh), followed by a fetva to the same effect. These texts were copied in 1163 AH (1749-50 CE).
