Scope and Content

This volume contains a tract on (limited) free will, as opposed to irade-i külliye or the absolute free will of God, by Mehmet İbn-i Mustafa el-Akkermani (died 1174 AH/1760-61 CE). On the basis of a note in pencil on f 1r, the manuscript has been lettered as khalk ul-a'mal, which may well be the correct title, although it is not mentioned in the text under that name, nor is such a title listed under the works of Akkermani in other reference works. This manuscript was copied by Mehmet, İmam of the Mosque of Balat, İstanbul.
