This volume contains accounts of travels in France written by Yirmisekiz Çelebi Mehmet Faizi Efendi, who was appointed Ambassador to the French Court in 1132 AH (1719-20 CE). This work, which has been printed twice, is referred to in the text as Mecmua-yi latif, but is more frequently known as Sefaretname-yi Mehmet Efendi or as Fransa sefaretnamesi.. The manuscript was copied in the 18th century CE.
