This volume contains an Ottoman Turkish translation, alongside commentary, of forty Aḥādīth. The author is Mehmet Hakani (died 1015 AH/1606-07 CE). The text opens with verses in praise of Sultan Mehmet III (reigned 1003-12 AH/1595-1603 CE) and the Grand Vezir Sinan Paşa. The paraphrase of each ḥadīth is followed by an illustrative story. There is a small illuminated heading on f 1v. The colophon can be found on f 87v, where we learn that the manuscript was copied by Osman İbn-i Mustafa el-Erzurumi in 1269 AH (1852-53 CE).
