This volume contains a commentary on the Fuṣūṣ al-ḥikam (فصوص الحكم) of Muḥyī al-Dīn ibn al-ᶜarabī compiled by Nevi Efendi (died 1007 AH/1599-1600 CE). The work makes use of the names of 27 prophets from Adam to Muhammad صلعم in order to explain the most common and varied topics of Sufi theology. It also contains poetry on occasion. The text is preceded by a table of contents. At the end of the text, a chronogram gives the date of composition as 1002 AH (1593-94 CE). As this manuscript is an autograph, it was copied somewhere between this date and 1007 AH (1599-1600 CE), the date of the poet's death.
