Scope and Content

The well-known manuscript of the poems of Kazi Burhaneddin of Sivas (d. 801 AH / 1398/99 CE). Begins:. كوكلده قوپلی صنما بر صفای عشق. طولدی بو عالمه ینه بزدن ندای عشق. This copy, made by Halil bin Ahmad ül-Meliki ül-Sultani in 796 AH / 1393-94 CE, was probably prepared for the poet himself, judging by the inscription on the illuminated first folio. It bears corrections in the margin, presumably from the poet's own hand. The text is fully vocalized. Some missing folios have been replaced by copies made at a later date in a similar hand on light brown-tinted paper. One unvan.
