This volume contains the compiled poetry of Ruşeni (Dede Ömer), whose death took place in 892 AH (1486-87 CE). It is comprised of the following texts :. (I) ff 1v-32r : Kitab-i Miskin, an exposition of the mystical doctrine illustrated by numerous anecdotes;. (II) ff 32v-48v : Kitab-i Çobanname, which begins with a Persian preface. This is an Ottoman Turkish version of the story of the Shepherd from the Mesnevi of Celaleddin Rumi;. (III) ff 49v-73v : Der medh-i Mesnevi-i Mevlevi, a mystical mesnevi that bears the title Der sıfat-i ney in other copies;. (IV) ff 73v-80r : Kalemname, called Der beyan-i sıfat-i kalem in some copies;. (V) ff 80r-81r : Silsilah-nāmah (سلسله نامه), also called Silsilah-i mashā'ikh (سلسلۀ مشائخ) in other copies, a Persian poem on the Halveti şuyuh;. (VI) ff 81r-118r : Miscellaneous poems by Ruşeni beginning with a terciibent, followed by poems of a similar character, including a terkibibent, a muhammes, kasideler and gazeller, and ending with quatrains headed Vasf-i Nebi (ff 109v-118r). An ilahi has been bound in with the text and htere are some poems and calligraphic specimens on the end papers. This manuscript was likely copied in the 18th century CE.
