Scope and Content

This volume contains the collected poetical works of Esrar Dede, a Mevlevi poet whose full name was Mehmet Esrar Dede. His death appears to have taken place in 1211 AH (1796-97 CE) and he was the author of the tezkire of Mevlevi poets. The Divan opens two na't, followed by kasideler, tahmisat and murabbaat that end on f 23r, after which come gazeller. The Divan breaks off in the midst of a gazel in ta. It is evident that the copyist left off here. The manuscript was likely copied in the 19th century CE.
