Scope and Content

This volume contains the following three texts:. ff 1v-45v : Şehadetname-yi Veysi, a treatise on religious observance by Veysi;. ff 46v-74r : Vakı'aname, a well-known vision of Veysi;. ff 75v-112r : Surname or Viladetname, entitled here Şehr-ayin, a description of the festivities on the occasion of the birth of the princess Hibetullah in 1172 AH (1758-59 CE) by Haşmet Efendi. The manuscript contains three unvans. All texts in the volume were likely copied in the late 18th or early 19th centuries CE. The second text was copied by İbrahim Hıfzi, one of the pupils of Ahmet Hıfzi, of the Seferli department in the Enderun-i Hümayun.
