This volume contains the collected poetry of Tirsi, whose name was İbrahim and who is alleged to have died in 1140 AH (1727-28 CE) according to both Fatin (pp. 251-52) and YDK III (pp. 634-35). The poems in this volume are mostly gazeller in a humorous vein but there are also other types of poetry, including humorous kasideler and two chronograms giving the dates 1154 AH (1741-42 CE) and 1131 AH (1718-19 CE). In addition to these, there is a chronogram by the poet İmam Mustafa Şani giving the date of Tirsi's death as 1180 AH (1766 CE). This is supported in GOD IV (p. 199) and seems to be a more likely date, given the chronograms. There is a postscript (f 43r) attributed to Mustafa Şani which states that the original copy of the Divan made at the order of Damat Ali Paşa had been lost, so various people collaborated in drawing up the text anew. Eventually in the year 1131 AH (1718-19 CE), the surviving portion of the Divan was found to consist of one kaside, 174 gazeller, 2 tahmisat, and a chronogram. On f 43v, there is a humorous causerie about Tirsi entitled Muhavere-yi mekkari der hakk-i Tirsi ez an-i Çamasp Efendi. This final text is dated 1184 AH (1770-71 CE), which is presumed to be the date of transcription of the whole manuscript, as the same hand is used throughout the text.
