This volume contains the following three examples of Turkic oral literature from Anatolia :. (I) ff 2r-12v : Hikayet-i Simürg ve Anka, the start of the text (f 2r) is written upside-down;. (II) ff 12v-19r : Tevarih-i İstanbul, a story of the Vezir Mahmud Paşa in the reign of Mehmet II;. (III) ff 19r-20r : Hikayet ve ahval-i Beşir Çelebi.. A listing of the letters of the Arabic abjad and their corresponding numerical values can be found on f 1r, and a fully-vocalized text regarding the recitation of unknown words is found on f 1v. This manuscript was likely copied in the 18th century CE, as dates are mentioned on f 19r (1183 AH/1769-70 CE) and at the end of the text (1166 AH/1752-53 CE).
