Scope and Content

This volume contains the following texts :. (I) ff 1r-45r : Nisaru'l-müluk, a collection of rare words glossed in Ottoman Turkish and compiled by Lutfullah İbn-i Abi Yusuf el-Halimi in the time of Bayezit II. Most of the words have their French equivalents written over them. The work is imperfect at the beginning and was copied in 982 AH (1574-75 CE);. (II) ff 48v-51r : Lughat-i mesulus, another Persian dictionary, with grafiti at the end (ff 50v-51r);. (III) ff 51v-63r : Persian dictionary;. (IV) ff 64r-81v : Persian-Arabic dictionary;. (V) ff 82v-85v : Sihah-i Acem, a short Persian-Ottoman Turkish glossary that was likely copied in the 16th century CE;. (VI) ff 86v-87r : Luğat-ı Müteferrika, another Persian-Ottoman Turkish glossary also from the 16th century;. (VII) f 87v : A recipe (?) in Ottoman Turkish. The Syriac word Brāqtā (tonsil) (ܒܪܩܬܐ) is found at the top right corner of f 87v. The manuscript was likely copied in the 16th century-17th centuries CE.
