Scope and Content

This volume contains part of the first volume of the collection of state-letters compiled by Feridun Ahmet Bey (died 991 AH/1583-84 CE) containing letters from Orhan (ff 1v-29v); Murat I (ff 31v-67v); Bayezit I (ff 70v-93v); and Mehmet I (ff 96v-125v). Some of the correspondence of Bayezit I is provided with marginal glosses and translations. The work has been incorrectly lettered as 'Menşur u Sultani' on the basis of a note on the first folio that reads 'Menşur-i Sultani-i Selcuki'. The text contains a single unvan on f 70v. The manuscript was likely copied in the 17th century CE.
