Scope and Content

This volume contains the collected poetry of Beliğ (Mehmet Emin Efendi, died 1172 AH/1758-59 CE). The first gazel is in honour of the Prophet Muhammad صلعم. This is followed by a mersiye on İmam Hüseyin, kasideler, tahmisat and others, including a Sakiname, Kefşgername, Hammamname, Berbername, and Hayatname. The chronograms commence on f 19v. After these come kıt'alar, and then müfredat, which end on f 30r. The gazeller occupy ff 30r-89r. The manuscript was copied by Mir İbrahim Münip Recaizade in 1211 AH (1796-97 CE).
