Scope and Content

This volume contains an Ottoman Turkish translation of the romantic poem by Asafi (died 923 AH/1517-18 CE) made in mixed prose and verse for Sultan Ahmet I (reigned 1603-17 CE) by his İmam, Safi Mustafa Efendi. Of the first folios only fragments remain. It begins with a poem of which only the last words in the first two lines, 'müteal' and 'muzahir', are present. The final folios are missing. The text contains a single unvan. This manuscript was likely copied in the 17th century CE.
