Scope and Content

This volume contains the following texts by Münif Mustafa Efendi (died 1156 AH/1743-44 CE):. ff 2v-6r : An Ottoman Turkish translation of the Ḥadīth-i arbaᶜīn of Jāmī;. ff 6v-17r : Zafername, an account of the Ottoman victory at Belgrade, ending with a kaside;. ff 17r-56v : Kasideler and longer poems;. ff 57v-77r : Gazeller (ff 57v-71r), followed by rubaiyat (ff 71v-72v), matali (ff 72v-75r), Mektub-i manzum-i Kara Bilgiç and a luğaz (ff 75v-77r). The text contains two unvans as well as a note by a former owner dated 1213 AH (1789-90 CE). The manuscript was likely copied in the 18th century CE.
