Scope and Content

This manuscript contains an Ottoman Turkish translation made in 1111 AH (1699-1700 CE) of the Shamā'il al-nabawiyah wa'l-khaṣā'il al-Muṣṭafawiyah (شمائل النبوية والخصائل المصطفوية), a collection of Aḥādīth by al-Tirmidhī. The translator's name is Ahmet Efendi of Bursa, known as İshak Hoca, and the correct title is Akvam el-vesail fi tercümet eş-şemail (f 3v). The text contains a single unvan. This manuscript was copied by İsmail İbn-i Hüseyin, one of the pupils of Mehmet Rasim, at İstanbul for the son of the Vezir Ali Paşa, Kadı İsmail Ziyai, in 1171 AH (1757-58 CE).
