Scope and Content

This volume contains the poems of Sezai, who belonged to the Gülşeni tarikat. He died in 1151 AH (1738 CE). The İlahiyat begin on f 8v, with the remainder of the Divan arranged in this copy as follows: several tahmisat and tasdisat, chronograms and others (ff 87r-89v); rubaiyat (ff 90r-95v); and then, a prose commentary by Sezai on a gazel by Niyazi-i Mısri (ff 96r-98v). On f 99v there is a new section with a long heading to the effect that it is the Divançe of Sezai's pir, Lali Efendi. The manuscript ends with Salavat-i insan-i kamil and an anecdote about Asadallah el-Galip ala İbn-i Abi Talip. The text contains a single unvan. The manuscript was likely copied in the 18th century CE.
