This volume contains a history of al-Madīnah al-Munawwarah (Medine) by Mehmet Aşık İbn-i Ömer (died 1032 AH/1622-23 CE). According to Babinger, the work is merely an Ottoman Turkish translation of the Khulāṣat al-akhbār (خلاصة الاخبار) of al-Samhūdī via an intermediary Persian translation.. The colophon of the text mentions that this copy is a tebyiz completed at Medine (Tayibe) in 1005 AH (1596-97 CE). It is an autograph of the author. .
