Scope and Content

This volume contains the compiled poetical works of Salacizade (Salacioğlu), whose full name is Şeyh Mustafa el-Celveti el-Girit el-Hanevi according to a short prose preface (ff 1v-2r). The preface is followed by na't, kasideler, terkibibentler and other poems (ff 2v-18v); chronograms ranging in date from 1197 AH (1782-83 CE) to 1220 AH (1805-06 CE) (ff 19r-21v); gazeller (ff 21v-46r); mukattaat (ff 46r-47r); and müfredat (ff 47r-51r). After this come various mesneviler, the most important of which are Der beyan-i şehadet el-Şeyh Mustafa, dated 1170 AH (1756-57 CE), with a short prose preface (f 52v); and Nami-i name-i Hazret-i müşarun ileyhi (f 58v). This manuscript was copied in 1281 AH (1864-65 CE).
