Scope and Content

This volume contains a collection of letters by Ebu Bekr Kani (died Rebiülahir 1206 AH/November 1793 or 1208 AH/1793-94 CE), largely similar to those found in Add MS 19365, albeit in a different arrangement. The rubrics prefixed to the letters seldom consist of more than the words suret-i mektup, and few of them indicate the person to whom they were addressed. Most of those that were addressed to an individual are to Yeğen Mehmet Paşa. The manuscript contains a single unvan and gold-ruled margins, and was likely copied in the 19th century.
