Scope and Content

This is a mesnevi written in 986 AH (1578-79 CE) by a certain Şerif or Şerifi, who dedicated the work to Sultan Murat III. The author is likely the same as the one mentioned in OM II, p. 257, and may be the Eğridirli Mehmet Şerifi who appears in SO III, p. 141. This work was copied in the late 16th century.
