Scope and Content

This volume contains a medical treatise by Bedreddin Mehmet İbn-i Mehmet called İbnü'l-Kaysuni or Kaysunizade (died 975 AH/1567-68 CE). It was translated into Ottoman Turkish verse by Nidai for Selim III (in either 975 AH/1567-68 CE or 978 AH/1570-71 CE) and consists of 4 ebvap. The poem ends on f 21v and is followed by some Aḥādīth concerning penitence, written in Arabic (ff 21v-23r). The binding has been incorrectly labelled as 'Risalah i Kaisarli'. This manuscript was copied in 1173 AH (1759-60 CE), a date which occurs both in a versified colophon added to the Hatime and on the first folio of the text.
