Divan-i Haleti - ديوان حالتى.

This volume contains the Divan of Haleti. The author designates himself by his mahlas only, which is found at the end of the gazeller and in the last verse of the first piece. The Divan is of a mystical and religious character throughout. It contains several pieces in praise of the celebrated Şeyh İbrahim Gülşeni, founder of the religious order that bears his name, and to which the author belonged. Towards the end (ff 65r-v), there are two chronograms for the death of Şeyh Ahmet, son and spiritual leader of the aforementioned Şeyh. Both give the same date, 978 AH (1570-71 CE). From the above, it becomes evident that the Divan is to be ascribed to Derviş Haleti, whose proper name was Mehmet and who died in 1012 AH (1603-04 CE), and not to his better known namesake Azmizade Mustafa Haleti, who died in 1040 AH (1630-31 CE). A poem said to be composed in Cairo by Gülşenizade Haleti Efendi is probably by the same author of the present Divan. The contents of the Divan are as follows: kasideler and mesneviler (f 2v); terkibibentler and muhammesler (f 13r), at the beginning of which are to Sakinameler; gazeller (f 19r); a few kıt'alar, rubaiyat and ferdiyat (ff 63v-66r). The manuscript also contains a listing of the guilds of Bavaria in German. The manuscript was likely copied in the 17th century CE by a copyist who identified himself as Derviş-i Osman-i bi-can ez bendegan-i Hazret Gülşeni. The date of transcription is partially torn, with only the last numeral, elf, still visible.
