Scope and Content

This volume contains the poems of Süleyman Zati (died 1151 AH/1738-39 CE). The Divan opens with gazeller (ff 2v-32r) that end in a chronogram. These are followed by a short mesnevi entitled Na't-i pak-i Ahmedi (ff 32-33r), after which we find a tahmis (ff 35v-36r) and a kaside (f 36r). Then comes a mystical mesnevi entitled Mecma ul-anasır Menba ul-serair (ff 36v-60r). This is called Sevanih ül-nevadir fi marifet il-anasır in the printed version of the Divan. After this work come poems in Ottoman Turkish and two in Persian (ff 60v-61r), a Na't by Ruhi-i Bağdadi (ff 61v-62r), another by Nahifi (f 62v) and a müstezad of Nazim Çelebi. The manuscript was copied in the 18th century CE.
