Scope and Content

This volume contains the following five tracts :. (I) ff 1v-68v : Miratu'l-akaid, a treatise on Sunni Muslim doctrine;. (II) ff 68v-70v : Azam-i hazretlerinin vasiyetnamesi, an Ottoman Turkish version of the al-Waṣiyah (الوصية), on the principles of Islam, by Abū Ḥanīfah, founder of the Hanafi mezhep;. (III) ff 71v-95r : Mu'adillü's-salât tercümesi, a treatise on the correct manner of performing the various rak'at, translated from the Arabic original composed by Mehmet İbn-i Pir Ali Birgili (died 981 AH/1573 CE);. (IV) ff 95v-103v : Hikayet-i vasiyet-i resul, a collection of Aḥādīth translated into Ottoman Turkish, and dated 1123 AH (1711-12 CE);. (V) ff 104v-123r : Haza esma'u'l-husna, the translations of a number of Aḥādīth concerning the Divine Names as related by Abū Hurayrah. All of the undated works in this manuscript were likely copied in the early 18th century CE.
