Scope and Content

This volume contains a work on morals and religion translated from the Persian at the order of Ali Paşa. Neither the name of the translator not that of the author of the original work appears in the text, but an Ottoman Turkish version of a Persian Anīs al-ᶜārifīn in 12 chapters made for Ali Paşa by Emir Cafet Tuğrai is recorded in Haj. Khal. This may be the work found in the current volume. This manuscript is undated, although the date 1060 AH (1650-51 CE) is found at the end of a tract about Musa (ff 74r-v).
