Scope and Content

This volume contains a history of the Prophets, the Caliphs, and later Muslim dynasties down to and including the Ottomans, written by Ramazanzade Mehmet Paşa known as Küçük Nişancı (died 979 AH/1571 CE). This work is also known by the following titles: Tarih-i Ramazanzade; Tarih-i muntehap; and Siyer-i enbiya-yi izam ve ahval-i hulefa-yi kiram ve menakıb-ı Selatin-i Al-i Osman. The text contains few marginal notes as well as miscellaneous inscriptions on ff 1v-2r. The first two folios are torn and ff 108 and 109 have been repaired, but no text has been lost. This manuscript was copied by Mustafa İbn-i Ali el-Hatıp and is dated 1044 AH (1634-35 CE).
