Scope and Content

This volume contains the collected poetry of Şeyhi, who is not the well-known Şeyhi of Germiyan, but rather a poet by the name of Mehmet Efendi. This Şeyhi was from Bursa and was Şeyh of the Yeşil İmaret Mevlevihane. According to Fatin, his death took place in 1150 AH (1737-38 CE). The Divan begins with a preface, followed by gazeller (ff 2v-14v). At the end of the gazeller comes a blank page containing gazeller of Fuzuli (ff 14v-15r). These are followed by a muhammes (f 46r), kıt'at and rubaiyat (ff 47r-49r), and a Sakiname (ff 49r-52v). On the end papers are poems by Nef'i and the margins of ff 15v-18r contain further poems by Fuzuli. The text contains a single unvan. The manuscript was likely copied in the 18th century CE.
