Scope and Content

This volume contains the collected poetry of Nevizade Atayi (died 1044 AH/1634-35 CE). The short prose preface at the begining (ff 1r-3r) is imperfect. This is followed (ff 3v-6v) by Dürretü't-taç fi vasf il-Miraç, and kasideler, tahmisat, tasdisat (ff 6v-45r). The remaining sections of the Divan are gazeller (ff 45r-104r), chronograms (ff 105r-108v), mukattaat with some quatrains (ff 108v-113r), and matali (ff 113r-118v), which is apparently unfinished, as a folio is left blank on one side. On ff 119v-136r, there are other poems by Atayi (mainly kasideler) in various hands, including a mersiye on the death of Osman Han. This manuscript is not dated, but was likely copied in the 17th century CE.
