Scope and Content

This volume contains an Ottoman Turkish translation of the Tanbīhāt al-munajjimīn (تنبيهات المنجمين), a Persian work on astrology which the author, Muẓaffar bin Qāsim Junābādī, began in 1031 AH (1622 CE) and dedicated to ᶜabbās I. . It is divided into a mukaddime, six ebvap and a hatime. According to a note at the end of the text, the translation was made in 1179 AH (1765-76 CE) by Nüzhet el-Hacc Ömer, also called Urfalı Nüzhet Ömer Efendi. . A table of contents can be found on ff 1v-2v. . This manuscript was copied by Mehmet Rıf'at el-mulakap ba-Hilmi in 1266 AH (1849-50 CE). .
