The son of Thomas Lunt, William Lunt was apprenticed to Edward Holbrooke in 1720 and was later an apothecary in Manchester. Lunt was buried on 30 April 1742. A Mr Lunt was mentioned as a local apothecary who bought drugs for Manchester Infirmary in 1753, he may have been a relation of William Lunt.
