Lord studied at Owens College Manchester and was medical officer of health for Castleton. He later settled in Rochdale where he was medical officer for Rochdale Union and president of the Rochdale Panel and Medical Committee. Lord was president of the Rochdale Medical Society. He died circa 1949.
