Pritchard studied medicine at Owens College and received the conjoint diploma in 1890. He was later in practice in Manchester and was a honorary anaesthetist at the Cancer Pavilion [Christie Hospital] and the Dental Hospital. He was killed in action during the Dardanelles operation in July 1915 while serving in the RAMC. He was the brother of Harry Pritchard.
