Huxley, (Mrs H de C Falle) was one of the early female medical students at the University of Manchester and in 1912 was awarded a gold medal for her MD Thesis. After qualifying, Huxley was junior assistant at Frauenklinik, Strasbourg and held positions at the Samaritan Hospital before being appointed physician to the Ante-Natal Department at Queen Charlotte's Hospital and surgeon to the Marie Curie Hospital. She then went to South London Hospital for Women where she was surgeon and later consulting surgeon. She was also Ante-Natal Lecturer for the Maternity Nurses Association. Huxley was a fellow of the Royal Society of Medicine, a member of the Council of the British College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, and was president of the London Association of the Medical Women's Federation. Huxley retired sometime in the 1930s.
