Lee studied medicine at Manchester before engaging in private practice in Colyhurst. Lee was chairman of the North Manchester Medical Union. He remained in practice for around fifty years, but died on 20 March [between 1927 and 1930], aged 84. Two of his sons practised medicine in Manchester.
