MRCS Eng 1890, FRCS 1894; LRCP Lond 1890; BSc Manch 1904, DPH 1894.

Littler studied medicine at Owens College Manchester and was house surgeon at MRI and Burton-on-Trent Infirmary. In 1894, Littler was appointed house surgeon to the Manchester Southern Hospital. In 1905 Littler became honorary consulting surgeon to Southport Infirmary. He was also certifying factory surgeon. Littler was president of Southport Medical Society and the Southport Branch of the BMA. He was also a member of the North of England Obstetrical and Gynaecological Society. Littler retired to Cheshire and died on 22 October 1941.
