Margaret Platt (nee Cannon)graduated in medicine from the University of Sheffield in 1922. She worked as a psychiatrist the Family Welfare Clinic and Child Guidance Clinic in Manchester. Between 1941-1946 she worked as a GP. She was married to Robert Platt (Lord Platt).
