Lord Salisbury writes that the question of Muir's "character and financial position" must be fully examined. He also writes concerning Honours, advising that [Horace] Farquhar will be awarded a peerage, with Theophilus Peel and [Sir Cuthbert] Quilter awarded baronetcies. He finally writes that he has been "obliged" to add Ripley of Bradford for a baronetcy to make Theophilus Peel "endurable to my friends". Sent from: Hatfield House, Hatfield, Hertfordshire.
