Mr Churchill writes thanking SCC for sending to him the letters written by his father, Lord Randolph Churchill in connection with the book of his life he is writing. He further writes that he will of course "exercise discretion" in regard to publication of the letters, noting SCC's "caution to those of 1887". He also writes acknowledging that SCC reserves the copyright for any letters written by him and will ask SCC for permission to make use of the letters "when the work is a little further advanced".
