SCC writes to his father that there was a report spreading all over London last Monday that he intends to vote for the Government along with "Stafford" and "Grosvernor" but they had no intention of doing so. He informs his father that he will most likely come to Chatsworth next week instead of tomorrow. He writes that the Speaker has invited him to dinner but he thinks it will be a bore. He reports that the dogs should be kept at Chatsworth as the kennels are the best and [George Stanhope, 6th Earl of Chesterfield] has allowed them to take his keeper.
