SCC writes to Ponsonby regarding an ongoing discussion on the colour of army field service uniforms. He writes that a Committee has approved changing the colour from red to grey but Prince George, Duke of Cambridge thinks grey is the colour of convicts. SCC reports that he proposes a khaki colour field uniform which is already in use in India and is going to trial the uniform with some regiments at home and abroad.
