Lydia Kearton writes offering her condolences following the death of Lord Edward Cavendish. She further writes of her concerns as to the "painful malady" [Russia flu epidemic] and her belief that "no money and no time should be spared to put both Houses [of Parliament] into a perfectly sanitary state" to protect the "lives, health and strength of our statesmen".
