SCC writes to Gladstone regarding the Franchise and Redistribution Bill. He writes to acknowlege that Queen Victoria wishes him to discuss the matter with the opposition leader, Robert Gascoyne-Cecil, 3rd Marquess of Salisbury and the current proposal will not be accepted. He writes that he thought they had agreed that the Liberals have nothing further to say and will write to Balmoral regarding their request for a compromise.
