SCC writes to his mother and father and asks them to thank "Mrs Talbot" for the "pretty book". He informs them that he has finished reading Robinson Crusoe and his sister [Louisa Cavendish] cried when "Friday" was dead. He writes that his mother's horse has bit "Malt" and that this morning the pony threw him off and hurt him again. "Malt" has had leeches on his chest and they hope he will get better.
