Mr Russell writes concerning an attack on SCC published in 'The Speaker' in connection with the formation of government in 1880. He further writes that he sent his letter to the Times warning Mr Buckle to see that there was no discrepancy between versions. He also writes that he [Buckle] makes out "that Harcourt and Spencer were in the know". He finally writes that should he be challenged, he will "fire Buckle your memorandum" unless SCC says no. Sent from: 18 Wilton Street, London.
