Lord Churchill writes concerning the invitation to contest the seat of Central Bradford in the General Election. He writes that the Liberal Unionist Association have sent a communication to Lord Lorne asking if it is his intention to contest the seat. He further writes that he was informed by Mr Milthorpe that "everything would go off satisfactorily with respect to my candidature". He also writes that the Liberal Unionist Party have made a request that he "would use his best influence with the leaders of the Liberal Unionist Party" to obtain a strong candidate for the "Shirley Division" as Mr Byles is "most unpopular".
