Wolseley writes regarding the proposed expedition to Khartoum to relieve General Charles Gordon. He writes regarding co-operation between Navy and Army. He reports that naval troops could be attached to army batallions to ensure a safer operation down the Nile and his proposed plan could take 11 weeks.
