Lady Ely writes to SCC regarding the Telegraphic department at the Post Office. She writes that Chichester Fortescue is looking for a position in England as he does not like Ireland. She advised that Queen Victoria wants to go to the opening of the bridge but she worries about the Queen's safety. She writes that [Mary] Lascelles is a great addition as lady-in-waiting.
